Through her engaging talks and workshops, Vikki examines the World Health Organisations International Classification of burnout (a syndrome caused by chronic workplace stress that is not successfully managed). And brings to life the social, personal and business impact of - mostly preventable - mental health issues in workplaces.
Vikki not only builds the business case of why we should invest in workplace wellbeing but inspires audiences to take action.
With experience of nearly 20 years in the legal profession, practicing as an employment lawyer, and founding a law firm, Vikki equips audiences with a starting point to successfully manage stress in the workplace and embed mental fitness into the culture of an organisation. She also weaves in performance management and discrimination prevention techniques, which improve individual and financial performance whilst reducing HR issues.

“Your 7 key skills of successful people really helped me focus on the areas where I need to improve and made me feel as though I could make progress with those by planning against them…. These tips have given me a plan to improve as a lawyer which is massively appreciated..”
Beth Wallace, Trainee Solicitor, Roythornes
“…the key personal point that I took from this [wellbeing and resilience mini-workshop] is that, from speaking to the group, I am managing better mentally with the current situation than I thought. The key for me is to keep that positivity going and build on it to keep others positive too.”
- Siobhan Thomson, Employment Law and Data Protection Solicitor, Greenwoods GRM
“Just come off the [crafting your best legal CV] call. Very helpful….Very informative, practical and useful session. Also particularly helpful to have insights from both [Clara] and Vikki’s perspectives. Thank you both so much - I am inspired to do some overdue updating of my CV!
- Polly H, Head of Legal of world class UK charity
“…thank you for such an interactive career session [planning your legal career mini-workshop]. It really made me question my motivations for my chosen career and I entirely agree with your approach that we need to take our career into our own hands.”
- Faye Power, Trainee solicitor, Ashtons Legal
“I participated in Vikki’s Homeworking for lawyers workshop. I was struggling to adjust to working from home so this event was very helpful for me to understand the barriers that were affecting my efficiency. I have been able to implement changes and feel they have made a positive change to both my productivity and mental wellbeing. It was also reassuring to hear from other people to know that you are not alone.”
- Rachel Leech, Contentious Probate and Court of Protection solicitor, Birkett Long
“Thanks so much for your presentation it was really helpful. It’s such an important area and I’ve really struggled with [mental fitness] myself, so it was comforting to know that I’m not alone with it and there’s different ways of preventing burn out. I think it’s such an important area and it was really interested to see the statistics of the effect on the business of employers ill mental health. I’d like to be more involved in this in the future.”
- Anna South, Trainee Solicitor, Jefferies
“… I was… able to take away some useful tips for making myself more productive…. It was lovely to see Vikki in action and see how she's using what was a negative scenario and turn it into a positive and help others to avoid the same happening to them.”
- Terri Christian, Mortgage and Protection Consultant
“Thank you for… hosting such a great session on Wednesday. I really enjoyed it, and it was lovely to meet you.”
“Vikki and Clara’s joint careers and wellbeing talk was very insightful and positively received by all of our members who attended…Vikki’s talk identified some key issues around stress in the legal workplace and mental wellbeing and put forward some useful top tips on how best to manage this. The talk also provided an open forum in which everyone could share their experiences and the challenges they have faced in the workplace and it became clear that none of us are alone in having felt overwhelmed at times. The talk was a great reminder of the importance of mental wellbeing for all of us, both in our personal lives and for productivity at work, and an excellent guide on how to best manage your workload from the outset of your career to minimise stress and maximise mental wellbeing. Highly recommend!”
- Charlotte Nayler, South Essex Junior Lawyers Division Chairperson, Solicitor, Birketts
